You are probably wondering who am I?

Well I am a senior experimental officer with over 15 years experience in chemical research and crystallography. I pioneered and specialised in non-ambient chemical crystallography having spent five years running the world leading single crystal facility at the Synchrotron Radiation Source, Daresbury. To date I have co-authored over 150 papers, co-supervised three successful PhD students and a PDRA. I am an avid Linux user, write my own Python, PHP and Fortran code and the founder of xrayforum.co.uk. I have strong interests in pharmaceutical-crystal engineering, materials, technology, environmental and energy science.

Now you know that you may be wondering why am I looking at your website?

That is a good question. I am certain that by now you may have noticed that the internet is really, really, really BIG. I have. I have a profile here, a “cherping” account there and all of these things are fractured, split independent.

So I put this website together to try and showcase some of the many things I do, have done and intend to do. Please take your time, have a look around, go away then come back there is a lot to see and I intend to only keep growing it.
