FORUM OUTAGES

Postby x-rayman » 07 Jul 2010, 09:36

Apologies for the forum outages of late unfortunately my web service provider has moved/merged/altered so that I am now with a different host. This move has meant significant down times and yesterday their server failed taking out the forum yet again and placing it in read only mode which does not work so the result was a rather strange and possibly alarming message.

Unfortunately there is also very little I can do other than keep in close contact with the new hosts to try and keep the forum with as little down time as possible. They are very quick to try and resolve issues the outages of late appear to either have been so large that they needed to repair many sites at once or so unique it has taken time to get to the root cause.

I suspect there will yet be more outages (I know of at least one, which I can hopefully alert you about before hand) but if you can have the patience to stick with us we will hopefully come out the other side happy hosted on new hardware and possibly with the chance of some new features.

Hopefully our new home on our new server means that the forum should be less prone to outages (famous last words).
